USML Graduate, Fr. Ivan Montelango, Meeting with Pope Francis

Rome, Italy – USML graduate Fr. Ivan Montelango, meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican in Rome in advance of Synod. He was chosen to take part in the Synod on Synodality, a multiyear worldwide effort initiated by Pope Francis in 2021, and was invited, amongst 20 participants from the United States, to attend the first general assembly in Rome, October 4 – 29, 2023. Fr. Montelango was ordained into the priesthood in 2020 completed his Licentiate in Canon Law (J.C.L.) from St. Paul University in Ottawa, and is a graduate of Mundelein Seminary, where he received his Licentiate in Sacred Theology. He is the Judicial Vicar for the Catholic Diocese of El Paso and a Diocesan Vocation Director.
