The Office of Registration and Records plays a crucial role in supporting the USML’s mission to form priests, deacons, and laity for leadership, ministry, and evangelization. Guided by clear vision, mission, and core values, the office responsibly manages academic records, ensures policy compliance, and provides high-quality services to students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders.

Amid the fast-paced and multifaceted changes shaping U.S. higher education today, the Office of Registration and Records adopts a flexible and agile approach to service, ensuring its practices stay in step with and advance the goals of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake.

The Office of Registration and Records is dedicated to supporting the University’s mission by responsibly and reliably managing academic records and ensuring compliance with both internal and external educational policies. Grounded in lasting principles and adaptable to a changing world, it helps form priests, deacons, and laity for effective leadership, ministry, and evangelization.

For students and faculty, we manage all academic and enrollment processes, including scheduling, registration, and reporting. We also handle degree verifications for employers and transcript requests for alumni.

All these services are provided in accordance with standards from the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), of which the university is a member. The office, also guided by the Federal Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), follows the specific retention policies outlined in AACRAO’s 2010 guide.
