GEORGE CARDINAL MUNDELEIN SCHOLARSHIP

The University of Saint Mary of the Lake (USML) is proud to offer a compelling reason for dioceses to send their seminarians to be formed at Mundelein Seminary. In addition to our beautiful historic campus, tradition of stellar priestly formation, and world class faculty, sending dioceses can now benefit from a special discount for graduate students enrolling in the School of Parish Leadership and Evangelization (SPLE).

Students who enroll in either the Master of Pastoral Studies or the Master of Theological Studies degrees at USML are now eligible to receive the George Cardinal Mundelein Scholarship if they work or worship in a diocese that sends seminarians to Mundelein. This scholarship recognizes the need that our parishes and dioceses have not only for outstanding priests but also for well-formed laity who are able to labor in the vineyard alongside their ordained leaders.

These programs are designed to provide a solid theological and ministerial foundation in the human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral dimensions of formation. As a result, they are not merely graduate degrees in the study of religion, instead, they are designed to prepare the next generation of lay ministers to evangelize, catechize and form disciples.

Both degree programs can be completed either onsite or online, which means that dioceses who do not have their own universities or theological schools can learn from the same faculty and benefit from the same trusted center for theological education where their priests were formed.

To learn more about how to take advantage of this scholarship for you, your parish or your diocese, contact admissions@usml.edu.
