Union League Chicago

Join us for our 31st Annual Celebration of Mundelein at our annual evening of tribute on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Union League Chicago. This event serves as the cornerstone in supporting the future of our seminary and nurturing the next generation of parish priests. Your support directly impacts the training and formation of our seminarians, empowering them to carry forth the light of faith and service.

This year’s As Those Who Serve honoree is the Reverend Dennis Holtschneider, president of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) and past president of DePaul University.

 

This year’s Christo Gloria honoree is Joe Paprocki, D.Min., National Consultant for Faith Formation at Loyola Press.

This year we are pleased to offer parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago the opportunity to purchase a table of 10 for the discounted rate of $2,500 that includes recognition in the event program.

Mass will be followed by a light reception of beer, wine, and appetizers at the Pastoral Center with the opportunity to reconnect and reminisce with former classmates.

The Association of Theological Schools featured an article highlighting the innovative and recently opened, Cor luxta Meum Simulation Center at USML through the Pathways for Tomorrow Phase 3 grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc.

100th ANNIVERSARY BOOK

CHAPEL OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION

This year, USML is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. A commemorative book will be available for purchase in the coming months featuring meditations on Mary from our seminarians. More information to come!
 

MASTERS OF ARTS IN LITURGY

This degree program is similar to the MALS in that it is designed for those who plan to work in a parish or diocesan chancery, but is considered a terminal, professional degree rather than an academic degree. To that end, foreign languages and a thesis are not required. Students complete written and oral exams at the end of their curriculum. It may be completed online over two academic years, on campus over five summers, or on a part-time basis.

Upon successful completion of the program, students receive a Master from the University of Saint Mary of the Lake.

Lilly Endowment Inc. Awards Three Grants to Help Congregations in the Archdiocese of Chicago Thrive

Archdiocese of Chicago, University of St. Mary of the Lake and St. Clement Parish each received $1.25 million through Lilly Endowment’s national initiative.
