Cardinal Cupich on campus for the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Candidacy Mass
Wednesday, August 30 – Cardinal Blase Cupich, Chancellor of the University will be on campus for the Mass of the Holy Spirit and Candidacy Mass. We have 19 seminarians from eight dioceses participating in the ceremony of Admission to Candidacy. Candidacy is a public declaration of ones intention to pursue Diaconate and Priesthood and implies a personal willingness to spiritually prepare for the calling to ordained ministry. It also symbolizes a commitment to ones own Archdiocese or Diocese and a determination to serve the people with joy and enthusiasm.
