The School of Parish Leadership and Evangelization (SPLE) at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake forms men and women for service in the life of the Church. Through the four dimensions of formation: pastoral, intellectual, human, and spiritual, our programs prepare leaders to serve their dioceses, parishes, communities, and families with faith and confidence. Our lay ministry programs have been developed in line with Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord. Our deacon formation programs have been developed in line with the National Directory for the Formation, Ministry, and Life of Permanent Deacons in the United States.
Whether you pursue a Parish Ministry Program in English or Spanish, a Graduate Degree, or the Permanent Diaconate, you will be guided by the same esteemed faculty who form our parish priests. Our programs go beyond academics, integrating prayer, fellowship, and faith formation that strengthen and equip you for effective pastoral ministry.
