Spanish Language Program at Mundelein Seminary 

The Spanish Language Program at Mundelein Seminary equips future priests with the linguistic skills necessary to serve an increasingly diverse Catholic community. The program begins with an “Introductory Spanish” course, tailored for those with no previous knowledge of Spanish, focusing on the fundamental aspects of pronunciation, grammar, and practical vocabulary. This foundational course ensures that students can understand, read, write, and converse in basic Spanish. Following this, the “Spanish Intensive” course provides a more immersive experience. It’s a two-week, intensive program aimed at preparing students for summer immersion experiences, enhancing their communicative confidence in Spanish through various interactive methods including daily Mass in Spanish, and engagement with native speakers.
