Topic of the Lecture

Brother Peter Bray will speak on the situation in the Holy Land, the idea behind “Bethlehem University” (a Christian Brothers University, where he served as Vice Chancellor) and his insights into interreligious dialogue based on his time there.

Brother Bray will give a brief outline of why there is a conflict in the Holy Land and why Bethlehem University has been operating there for 50 years. He was a man of great intelligence who spoke eloquently for the values promoted by the Church. Since that time a distinguished list of speakers has participated.

For this year’s two-part lecture, Br. Bray will serve as the guest speaker on Thursday, Mar 6. Br. Bray will present again on Friday, March 7 and will participate in a panel discussion with distinguished USML faculty members. Guests are invited to attend one or both days of the lecture.
