Eileen Quinn Knight

Dr. Eileen Quinn Knight is a distinguished educator and active member of the Catholic community in Chicago. She serves as a Professor Emerita in the Education Department at St. Xavier University. Dr. Knight served on the Mercy Board of Higher Education and the Mother McAuley High School Board. She has also served on the Pastoral Council at Holy Name Cathedral and received the Christi Fidelis Award as well as the Lumen Christi Award in October 2019 from Cardinal Cupich.  She was previously on the St. Michael Pastoral Council as chair. Dr. Knight is also involved with the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council, a consultative body to the Archbishop of Chicago. In addition to her academic role, Dr. Knight is a parishioner Holy Name Cathedral and St. Clement Parish where she is involved in serving as a lector, Extraordinary Minister of Communion and the Teaching Parish Program, which supports seminarians.  Her commitment to education and the church highlights her dedication to both her faith and her profession. Dr. Knight has 3 sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 6 Grandchildren.
