Welcoming New Seminarians to Campus

Posted on August 17, 2021

This week the Mundelein Seminary community welcomed its newest members, as 22 new seminarians moved into their residence and embarked on an ambitious orientation schedule to learn about the campus they will call home throughout their years of priestly formation.

Activities include tours of the campus and library, informational sessions to get to know various faculty members and learn about seminary programs, recreation time, community meals, Adoration, community masses and social evenings for them to get to know one another.

For the first time, incoming seminarians also participated in a panel discussion with parishioners from local communities to hear firsthand from people representative of those they will be serving throughout their formation and, God willing, eventually as parish priests.

We are also grateful to the returning seminarians who arrived on campus early to welcome their new brothers into the community. Please keep all of these men in your prayers as they settle into their new home.
