Please follow along with their travels on their blog: http://2017mundeleinpilgrimage.blogspot.com/. Regular updates will also be shared on Facebook and Twitter, so be sure to follow us @mundeleinsem.
In the wee hours of the morning, our third year theologians, accompanied by a few faculty members, officially started on their pilgrimage to the Holy Land. They were sent off with hugs and blessings from their brother seminarians, faculty, and our rector, Father John Kartje. We ask for your prayers for protection in their travels.
As part of the formation program at Mundelein Seminary, the third year students go on pilgrimage to the Holy Land to spend time seeing the Holy sites and dive more deeply into Scripture. Jesus is a historical figure and it is important to have the opportunity to see firsthand the places where our Lord lived and ministered. This incredible time following in the footsteps of Jesus is something our seminarians do not take for granted.
When these men return, they will have a few weeks on campus before returning to their home dioceses to be ordained as transitional deacons. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support that allow such pilgrimages to take place.
