Priests are fathers, too! For Father’s Day this year, we want to thank our priests for their spiritual fatherhood in our lives. This is especially true in these last few months, as priests have adapted to continue ministering to God’s people. They found creative ways to reach out to their parishioners to provide prayerful support and care.
As the spiritual fathers of our faith communities, parish priests have accompanied us throughout the year, just as they have been present throughout some of the most important moments of our lives. In everything, they have reminded us to draw closer to our heavenly Father and His Beloved Son, as well as pray through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary.
Who are the priests in your life who have been spiritual fathers for you? For Father’s Day, Mundelein Seminary invites you to post an online tribute to them through our #thanksFather project.
Here’s how you can participate:
- Post a photo on social media watching a livestream Mass or any photo you have with your priest and tell us why you are grateful for that priest in your life. Use #thanksFather, and tag us @mundeleinsem so we can reshare it.
- Send us an email at socialmedia@usml.edu with a photo and/or message for a priest you would like to thank and we will share it on our website and social media platforms.
- Make a gift using the form below in honor of a priest and they will be notified of your gift.
