Seminarians Lead Retreat for St. Theresa Parish

Posted on January 10, 2017

Seminarians Robert Ryan (Pre-Theology 2, Chicago) and Lukasz Pyka (3rd Theology, Chicago) led a retreat for high school students from St. Theresa’s Parish in Palatine, IL.

The retreat centered on prayer and its importance. Our seminarians shared different types of prayer, tools for integrating prayer into busy schedules, and led a tour of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.

Robert and Lukasz were assigned to St. Theresa as part of the Teaching Parish Sunday program. The program sends groups of four to seven seminarians, led by a transitional deacon, to local parishes in the Chicago area. This initiative aspires to be a genuine communal relationship between seminarians and parishes.
