Vocation Story

I am from Loja Ecuador. I studied elementary school with The Dominican sisters, and high school with the Marist brothers in my city Loja Ecuador. Then, at college I did chemist engineering. Having done my sacraments at the age of 18 and 19. I was involved with catechism preparation at one Franciscan parish. At my last year of college, I had the opportunity to attend Franciscan Retreat for 15 days. I felt in love with the Franciscan style of life and I decided to become Franciscan friar. I was in the Order (OFM) in my country, for six years. During this time, I finished my studies of Philosophy. After that for my pastoral year I was sent to Guayaquil City to serve in a parish. In that year, I met some diocesan seminarians and I wanted to have a diocesan life experience. Thank God I had the opportunity to come to Chicago on September 2013. As a candidate for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Now I am in my third year of Theology here at Mundelein Seminary. God willing, I will a good priest. Please keep me in your prayers and one day with God’s grace and your help I will be a good and happy priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
