Conception Seminary College (Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy)
I love all types of outdoor activities including hiking, hunting, fishing, and running. I also enjoy playing piano and cooking.
I competed in my first triathlon last summer and hope that being a triathlete will become a life-long hobby of mine.
I have entertained the idea of priesthood from a very young age. When I was young, one of the things I often told people I wanted to be when I grew up was a priest. As I went through junior high and high school, the idea of priesthood was always present in the back of my head. While in high school, my call to the seminary was fostered through daily visits to the chapel at the Catholic high school I attended, daily mass, a deep love for the Eucharist, and the holy example of a young priest in my diocese named Fr. Ben Sawyer. What draws me to the priesthood is the deep desire to help lead others to Christ and to achieve excellence in their spiritual lives, as well as bring the Sacraments to the people of God.
As a priest I look most forward to the daily interactions of parish life, working with and being involved with families of the parish, and administering the Sacraments.
|What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far?||
One of my favorite memories as a seminarian was having the opportunity to attend the beatification of Bl. Father Stanley Rother in Oklahoma City. It was one of the most beautiful liturgies I have ever had the opportunity to attend and this experience opened my eyes to the universality of the Church. The life and example of Bl. Stanley Rother has continued to inspire me as I continue my path of formation and preparation for the priesthood.
|How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?||
Mundelein’s donors and community can pray for me that I become a vessel of Christ’s love and continue to listen attentively to how He is calling me to serve His holy Church.
