I love to read. Mostly history, biography, liturgy, and the lives of the Saints. I enjoy walking along Lake Michigan or through the many parks of Chicago.

Tidbit

I was one of 70,000 people in attendance at the Beatification Mass for Bl. Solanus Casey. I was also at Fr. Solanus' old monastery to celebrate his first Feast Day.

Favorite Saint

Blessed Solanus Casey & St. Josemaria Escriva

Favorite Devotion

I love to pray the rosary while walking around St. Mary's lake on campus at Mundelein.

What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far?

The happiest people I know are priests, religious brothers and religious sisters.  They are in love with their ministry.  They are in love with the people they serve.  At the worst times in the lives of people, they come to the Church.  At the happiest times in the lives of people, they come to the Church.  The Church is here to bring hope and healing when people are in sorrow.  The Church is here to celebrate and commemorate times of great joy.  The Church and her ministers manage to find the best in people and let that shine through.

Mundelein Seminary allows me to see this up-close and personal in class, in formation and in my Teaching Parish.  It’s a great privilege to be here with so many joyful people who selflessly share their life and love with the world.
