Vocation Story

I grew up in a great family and wanted to be a teacher and baseball coach after college. I joined a Bible Study my sophomore year and began to attend daily mass and make a regular confession and realized that I was happiest when living my Faith in an authentic way, even with all of my faults and failings. I decided to work as a missionary after college thinking that I would still eventually end up back by home as a teacher and coach, but I kept seeing great examples from priests in my life and could not stop thinking about how cool it would be to celebrate Mass, hear confessions, etc. So I decided to give seminary a try. That was in the winter of 2011. There have been ups and downs along the way, but Jesus has never let me down and I am more and more grateful for the opportunity to be His priest every day.
