Vocation Story

Even in a brief way I can take hours over it, anyway let me try my best. I loved becoming a priest since I was a kid. My dad was a catechist at a time, so we hosted a number of priests home. I always liked associating with them. One day the then ordinary of our diocese stopped by to check on us, something that never left me the same. I liked everything he was putting on! When he went, I asked my dad about him, in reaction he just handed me a booklet printed on his priestly silver jubilee. This was my first time to learn about what a seminary is, and what takes place there.

From then I had only a passion to join the seminary. I asked dad to take me to a junior seminary but he refuted the idea as the finances home would not let it happen. When I finished my primary education I joined a minor seminary for six years, then I moved on to a major seminary for my philosophical studies which I completed this year in May, and here I am still answering God’s call at Mundelein Seminary.

Priest Aspirations

I would like to be there for people and create a change in their lives. This does not limit age or ethinicity, anybody, any one to whom I can deliver my humble service to.

What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far?

Surely I hit at any special one, everything I go through here look special and memorable for me. Everything around me since I reported in August is a marvel!

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

That I may make it to priesthood. And when it has happened, that I may be a relevant priest for everyone in my reach.
