Vocation Story

I am the son of Dale Sr. and Josephine Lingaur, and I was born and raised in Lake Leelanau. I am a third generation graduate from St. Mary Catholic School and enjoyed close friendships with his nearly 100 cousins while growing up. Upon graduating from high school, I earned a degree in Management and Information Systems from Northwood University, where I played football and baseball, and served as a student assistant coach for the football team.

After college, I was employed by a small food and automotive manufacturing supplier in Livonia, MI, prior to moving back home to the Traverse City area and working as a Computer and Data Analyst. I began seriously considering the priesthood not long after the death of two of his grandparents. I recall being moved by the feeling of peace each time I witnessed my grandparents receive their final Eucharist. It was then that I began seriously discerning the priesthood.

Priest Aspirations

Being able to celebrate the Mass.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

Please pray that, God willing, my seminarian brothers and I persevere in our pursuit of the priesthood.
