I love running fast breaks on the basketball court, trying to hit dingers and field ground balls on the diamond, defending goals in soccer; sports in general give me lots of energy. I also enjoy doing rinky-dink wood working projects, hiking and camping outdoors, and reading fiction.

My dad taught me the art of farming and woodworking. An expert at neither, I enjoy doing both.

Vocation Story

I always wanted to have a wife and a good family, but Jesus planted a different seed in my heart in my teenage years. Every time I was serving Mass, a great sense of belonging and peace came over me. This seed grew and grew until I recognized it as an invitation to the priesthood years later. Through the encouragement of friends, a good priest, and a serious girlfriend, I finally accepted the offer to step out into the deep waters of seminary. Sometimes I sink, sometimes I swim, but Jesus is with me all the way.
