Vocation Story

Growing up, all I wanted to do was have a “normal” life; get a good job, get married, and raise a happy family. But as I went through college and realized that my plans weren’t working out the way I thought they would, I realized that the only way I would be truly satisfied in life was by opening up to God’s will for me. Once I did that God immediately put the priesthood on my heart, and eventually this calling led me to leave my girlfriend and new engineering job to pursue this vocation. Since entering seminary, I have had many experiences of God working through me, and am excited to be on this path of priesthood.

Priest Aspirations

I look forward to working with families to help them grow into faithful households.

What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far?

My favorite memories of seminary so far have been the Frassati outdoors trips that we did at Mt Angel Seminary. Frassati is a group at Mt Angel that combines the love of outdoors and the love of God by going on camping/mountaineering trips that are driven by the desire for spiritual growth. Some of the best trips included Mass on the Mountain, a snowshoe trip with adoration, and a weekend retreat to Bend, OR.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

Please pray that God will grant me (and all of us) the spirit of confidence to persevere so that we have the conviction to lead others to Christ, despite any challenges we may face.
