Vocation Story

My parents were genuine examples of living the faith while growing up. However, it wasn’t until my freshman year at Iowa State that I felt a strong call to the priesthood.  To help me discern, my parish priest encouraged me to pray “Lord I pray that I might be a good servant” before bed. The prayer challenged and changed me. God, how are you calling me to be a good servant? What is your will for my life? Throughout a year and a half of prayer and reflection God answered me. One night, he gave me a very powerful prayer experience where I saw all the joy that God had in store for me in the priesthood. Priesthood is joyful. This would be a very meaningful and exciting life. As the years pass by, I grow increasingly grateful for this life to which God has called me.

Priest Aspirations

I look forward to spiritual fatherhood. As a priest, the church is my family. I get to be a father figure for countless people sharing with them the Joy of the Gospel.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

Pray that I will be a compassionate, kind, humble, gentle and patient priest (Col 3:12). Also, pray for me to be a great preacher. I’ll do my best! Thank You!
