Vocation Story

I started my Catholic education with the preparation for my First Communion and Confirmation with the help of my grandmother, because my parents do not practice the Catholic faith. Later, I became an altar server and, in my teen years, integrated to the teens group in my home parish. I started to feel God’s call to the priesthood in my heart during that time. When I was serving at Mass, I felt that I wanted to be the priest standing at the altar consecrating the bread and wine. At fourteen, after time of prayer and reflection with my spiritual and vocation director, I entered high school seminary in Monterrey, MX. After one year and a half I discerned out. In 2017, during Holy Week missions, I felt God’s call to the priesthood in my life again; and with the help of a friend, Fr. Alan Sanchez, I started a discernment process with the Diocese of Laredo, TX.

Priest Aspirations

Being able to be a good pastor for the people of God, always helping them to get closer to God through His love and mercy.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?
