I like playing sports and running. My favorite team is the Chicago Cubs. In high school, I spent most of my time in various bands, playing trumpet. I also like camping!
I can lick my elbow.

I was raised Catholic by my parents, but I never expected to go to seminary or become a priest when I was growing up. While in college I found myself enjoying life in a Catholic dorm and community, and that is when the faith became something special in my life. I grew closer to Jesus in that time, and I started praying about what my life would look like. After a few years, I got involved in Totus Tuus, a Catholic faith camp brought to parishes. It was during that summer that I started thinking and praying about priesthood. I wanted to continue getting to know God and sharing the Catholic faith with others. I also felt invited by God to walk this path and be His representative. A powerful Scripture verse for me in my time of discernment was Mark 6:34 – When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd. – This strikes me when I think of how many people may not know God, and I want to help people to know that we have a very good shepherd!
I am most looking forward to leading people in prayer and accompanying families through life.
