Vocation Story | I was a sophomore in high school when I fell in love with Jesus. In growing in my relationship with him, I slowly began to love his Church more and more. While in high school, I honestly asked Jesus what his will was for me. Through prayer, I believed he was inviting me into the seminary and to serve his people as an ordained priest. However, I was afraid to take such a bold step. I “used” college to get more time and clarity, but by my junior year I surrendered! I trusted he would guide me even though I did not have absolute certainty of what the future held. I entered Mundelein Seminary the fall after my college graduation. I have no regrets. As I continue to follow his call, I understand more deeply God’s fidelity to me. |
