Vocation Story

I had an incredible encounter in high school when I discovered the true presence in the Eucharist through the mentorship of my high school youth minister. After discerning priesthood in high school, I attended seminary for the Archdiocese of Dubuque for one year after graduation. I then discerned to attend Benedictine College, where I continued my studies in philosophy and theology. After graduation, I taught high school theology in my home diocese and was the youth and young adult minister at my parish in Cedar Rapids, IA. It was when I was back in the Archdiocese of Dubuque that I found myself re-discerning the diocesan priesthood. The call to come home became confirmed when I studied at the Pontifical University in Krakow and re-affiliated with my archdiocese.
