My junior year when I was in college I was sitting at a Mass when all of the sudden thoughts about the priesthood came into my mind. I had never thought about the priesthood before so I was very taken aback by these thoughts and was pondering what these might mean. Right then the priest said in the homily, “Sometimes we hear the voice of God in our lives but we want to play dumb, we don’t want to listen to what He has to say.” When I heard these words it was as if my heart exploded within my chest and I knew I was being called to the priesthood. Although I wanted to say no, I knew I had never experienced anything like it before in my life. After going to seminary I have never had more peace.
