Vocation Story

I grew up in Chihuahua, Mexico. There I got to know the pastor of my parish. He was a great person, and I wanted to be like him. Thus, since I was a kid I used to say, “I want to be a priest.” This desire continued to take root in my heart as I attended Religious Education classes, and later on as I joined the youth group. My experience of community in the youth group made me grow firmer in my vocation. I moved to El Paso, TX when I was 15. Since then, El Paso has been my home. I discovered there another aspect of my vocation: being at the service of immigrants. This is why I felt called to be a priest in El Paso.

Priest Aspirations

Leading the people into an encounter with God.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

Please pray that I may live and share the joy of the Gospel, and that more young people may say “yes” to their vocation.
