Vocation Story

On April 2, 2005, when St. John Paul II died, it was interesting to me how the whole world stopped.  I knew I wanted to be like him, and I got more interested in knowing more about my faith. Seeing how he lived his life made me think I wanted to do something with mine. I was 13 at that time, so I went to talk to my pastor, but he told me I was too young and asked me to come back a couple of years later if I still had that feeling. When I did,  he told me about the Minor Seminary so I went, really liked it, and finished it in the Seminario Diocesano de Colima. Two years ago I decided to come to the Diocese of Yakima, studied English for one year and three months, and here I am now at Mundelein.
