Vocation Story

I always liked the Priesthood growing up, so I looked up to priests and religious that I encountered. In Vietnam, I actively involved in Youth Group, and I was a lector at Mass for a couple of years. However, I have strongly felt that God has called me to the Priesthood after a time living in the U.S. I prayed about it and kept in touch with the Vocations Director. As time went on with my discernment, I have had a sense that God has given me much clarity and consolations through reading Scriptures and spiritual books, especially The Imitation of Christ by Thomas À Kempis. So, I got accepted to be a seminarian of the Diocese of Davenport and got sent to Conception Seminary to finish Philosophy. Now, I am studying at Mundelein Seminary.

Priest Aspirations

I look forward to have a more intimate relationship with God and let Him help me to be an effective instrument to bring Him to people that I may serve.

What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far?

I liked many student-organized events we have had thus far, which have made me realize how much more things that I still need to learn in order to be an effective instrument of God.

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

For perserverance and patient endurance. For my growth in holiness and humility.
