Vocation Story | I always liked the Priesthood growing up, so I looked up to priests and religious that I encountered. In Vietnam, I actively involved in Youth Group, and I was a lector at Mass for a couple of years. However, I have strongly felt that God has called me to the Priesthood after a time living in the U.S. I prayed about it and kept in touch with the Vocations Director. As time went on with my discernment, I have had a sense that God has given me much clarity and consolations through reading Scriptures and spiritual books, especially The Imitation of Christ by Thomas À Kempis. So, I got accepted to be a seminarian of the Diocese of Davenport and got sent to Conception Seminary to finish Philosophy. Now, I am studying at Mundelein Seminary. |
Priest Aspirations | I look forward to have a more intimate relationship with God and let Him help me to be an effective instrument to bring Him to people that I may serve. |
What has been your favorite/most memorable story of your time at Mundelein thus far? | I liked many student-organized events we have had thus far, which have made me realize how much more things that I still need to learn in order to be an effective instrument of God. |
How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you? | For perserverance and patient endurance. For my growth in holiness and humility. |
