Vocation Story

In 6th grade I heard the librarian at my school share the story of St. Maximillian Mary Kolbe. His devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and sacrificial love inspired me to think about becoming a priest. However, throughout the rest of middle school and high school I did not pursue that inspiration. In college, I really grew in the faith and became more active in the church. I graduated with a degree in Special Education to serve Christ in others. After attending a retreat at my home parish, Sts. Peter and Paul, I prayed a novena to Our Lady of the Annunciation and felt God calling me, “to go to seminary and become a priest.” After much prayer and discernment with family, friends, and the local pastor, I decided to talk with the vocations director and apply to the Seminary. Here I am Lord, I come to do Thy will!
