Vocation Story | I began to become aware of this call when I was 18 years old in college. A priest asked me, “Have you ever thought about being a priest?” And I said “No,… but I’m open to it.” Then he replied, “You would make a great priest!” And that stuck with me all through college. What attracted me the most was the complete disposition of a priest to adhere to the essential needs of God’s people. I came to the point where I had to know if God was truly calling me to this vocation, and the only way to figure that out was to join seminary, so I did. I graduated from EWU when I was 21 and entered seminary right afterwards. Ever since then it has been a pilgrimage of trust, and thanks be to God I am at a point where there is nothing I would rather be doing than pursuing this vocation to the priesthood. |
