My Catholic faith was never a big part of my life, so one day my parents asked me to go to confirmation classes. I had no clue what confirmation was, but I started going to the classes. The more I started to learn more about my faith, the more I fell in love with the Catholic Church. I decided to dive in head first and my faith became a huge part of my life very quickly. For me, I started to hear the call after I began going to daily mass everyday the summer before my senior year at high school. Putting the idea off for 4 years, I went on with my life, and in this time my faith was challenged, there were amazing priest role models in my life, and I grew in Christian friendship with good people. After four years of ups and downs my faith had deepened, and I knew it was time to give seminary a shot.
Being with the people. The people of the Church have taught me so much, and I have so much more to learn, but I am excited to walk with the People of God in the sacraments and in their everyday lives.
