Running, reading, drinking coffee, playing ultimate frisbee, playing with Legos
St. Augustine, St. Ignatius of Loyola
Growing up, I loved playing with Legos, and I decided that I wanted to work for Lego. In my first year of high school I planned on going to the University of Illinois to study industrial design. In the last year of high school, I became a member of my school’s retreat ministry team, and as I led retreats for my classmen and the underclassmen, I fell in love with sharing my testimony and encouraging others in their faith. In prayer, I realized that I could do what I loved for the rest of my life and do things that remained in this world, or I could do what I loved for the rest of my life and, by God’s grace, change the course of eternity. I knew that this was more true to what I wanted and what the Father wanted. As senior year progressed, I sensed the Father calling me to a more radical and generous gift of self, and I became a seminarian the summer after I graduated from high school. After four years of college seminary, the Father continues to reveal that He calls me to a life that is everything that I’ve ever wanted.
Being able to perform the sacraments and offer the things that have changed my life the most to the people I serve.
