Theatre; I love acting and have done it throughout both high school and college. I also enjoy creative writing and would like to someday bring an idea for a television series to life.

Vocation Story

I was homeschooled by my mother until the 9th grade. Religious education was very important for us and as a result I read countless biographies of Saints who became role models for me. I wanted to serve God with as much fervor and compassion as they had. This desire ebbed and flowed over time but always remained in the back of my mind. Around the time of my high school graduation I found myself very lost and without any direction in my life. I struggled with anxiety and depression and dropped out of college for a brief time as I tried to cope.

When I felt ready to start again I transferred to Aquinas College, where they have Theology as a general education requirement. When I took a Bible class to fulfill it I finally understood what area of life God was calling me to. I declared Theology as my major and in my later studies I realized that I was being called to the seminary. I do not know where God will lead me now but I have learned to “not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matt 6:34

How can Mundelein's donors and community pray for you?

Ask God to grant me the virtues of hope and courage in order to do His will in the face of adversity.
