Holy Land Pilgrimage

Walk With Me

February 2, 2020

One of my favorite activities to do when I visit any place is to familiarize myself with my surroundings; and how neat it is to walk all around the Holy Land, following the footsteps of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It brings me so much joy to walk around the holy sites as well as the ordinary streets and alleys of the city. I often bump into places, and people that I wouldn’t have known had I just stayed home after hours of studies. When I go on my walks, it gives me a chance to see what the people do for a living. I visit the shops and the restaurants. Walking for me reveals to me the history of the land, imaging how the land looked like during the time of Jesus, for instance, the hills and valleys. It allows me to appreciate the architecture and enjoy the nooks and crannies of the town – and there are quite a lot of them. I used to walk a lot in my home country (Ghana) but I have fallen out of touch with walking in recent years – and I love how being at the Holy Land has helped me recover this passion.

I’m glad that I have the physical capabilities of walking and that I haven’t gotten lost yet. So, come and walk with me!
