Today we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She is the Queen of Mexico, Empress of the Americas, and Patroness of the Philippines. This morning our seminarians serenaded Our Lady in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. The Spanish choir and the African choir both paid tribute to her in front of a beautiful altar with 100 roses.
Following the serenade, our community prayed together for bilingual morning prayer and Mass, celebrated by Father Maina Waithaka (Chicago ’02).
