Due to the unforeseen circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of our guests, the 2020 Celebration of Mundelein event originally scheduled for April 23 has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 17 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.
We hope this gathering will be a moment of joyful optimism, as we come together to reflect on our blessings and thank you for your support. We look forward to honoring one of our esteemed alumni, Monsignor Michael M. Boland (Class of 1986), for his transformative leadership of Catholic Charities.
Watch a video blessing and greeting from Monsignor Boland:
The need for holy, well-prepared priests is most evident in unprecedented times like these. By now you have probably heard stories of our alumni who are finding profoundly new and creative ways to serve as a bridge to Christ for their parishioners, despite restrictions on the celebration of Mass and other gatherings. With the graces of the Holy Spirit and a strong formation provided to them during their time at Mundelein, they are effectively ministering to their flock from afar–whether by live-streaming Mass, offering online reflections or risking their own health to visit the sick in hospitals.
Make a gift to Mundelein Seminary as a show of gratitude for the alumni priests who are serving as first responders of faith in this uncertain time and an investment of hope in the future leaders of the Church.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Please join our seminarian community in praying the Rosary, praying the Stations of the Cross, or submitting an intention for our seminarians to hold in prayer.
