Meet the Newly Ordained Priests of the Archdiocese of Chicago

Cardinal Blase Cupich recently ordained 8 men to the priesthood at St. John Brebuf in Niles.

ORDINANDI

Larry Josue Basbas, 52, from Agafia Heights, Guam, will have his first assignment at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, Ill.

Arthur Bautista, 29, from Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines, will have his first assignment at Ss. Timothy, Henry, and Margaret Mary Parish in Chicago.

Ismael Garcia Sainz, 27, from Evanston, Ill., will have his first assignment at St. Norbert and Our Lady of the Brook Parish in Northbrook, Ill.

Patrick Gorman, 42, from Park Ridge, Ill., will have his first assignment at St. Alphonsus Parish in Chicago.

Vinicio Jiménez, 32, from Olmedo Loja, Ecuador, will have his first assignment at Immaculate Conception and Five Holy Martyrs Parish in Chicago.

Henry (Hank) Lyon, 25, from Buffalo Grove, Ill., will have his first assignment at St. Emily Parish in Mt. Prospect, Ill.

Martin Marulanda, 34, from Manizales, Caldas, Colombia, will have his first assignment at Our Lady of Tepeyac, Assumption, and St. Roman Parish in Chicago.

Patrick Bergin, 56, from Merna, Ill., will be ordained during this celebration for the Archdiocese of Tabora, Tanzania. Cardinal Cupich will ordain Bergin on behalf of Archbishop Paul R. Ruzoka, who is unable to travel to the United States because of COVID-19 restrictions. Bergin will exercise his priestly ministry in Tabora.
