Prist Ministry Development Series

Overview

The Prist Ministry Development Series is named for Monsignor Wayne Prist who was instrumental in the development of programs for lay ministers at the University under Cardinal Bernardin.  It is a fitting tribute to name this program after Monsignor Prist.  This new program will continue the work begun by the Institute for Lay Formation in the Lay Ministry Alumni Program (LMAP) which provided ongoing formation, continuing education, and peer sharing for graduates of lay ministry formation programs, including Called & Gifted.  Launched in 2012 as a pilot project, the LMAP became an official program of the Institute for Lay Formation in the summer of 2014.

The newly formed Institute for Pastoral Leadership will offer continue to offer programs for alumni of our programs in addition to programming that will support parishes of the Archdiocese as they engage in the Renew My Church process.  We plan to hold 2 or 3 formation days each year plus a summer retreat, all featuring notable presenters.  Relevant topics will be drawn from areas of theology, ministerial skills, catechesis, and spirituality based on participant feedback and evaluations.
