As our seminarians finish this semester’s coursework and prepare their hearts for Christmas in the joyful season of Advent, they have paused to honor the Virgin Mary in the celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception on December 8 and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12.
The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception
In honor of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, our patroness, enjoy this beautiful rendition of Ave Maria filmed in our chapel dedicated to her honor. Featuring seminarians Michael Barbarossa (Theology II, Archdiocese of Seattle) on piano and the singing of Deacon Michael McAndrew (Theology IV, Archdiocese of Dubuque). Thank you to Spirit Juice Studios for creating this video!
The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Our community gathered early to serenade Our Lady of Guadalupe with Mañanitas before Morning Prayer. The Mariachi Ensemble, Spanish Choir, African Choir, Holy Qurbana Choir, Asian Choir, and Housekeeping Staff Choir all contributed their talents to honor La Virgen de Guadalupe on her feast day.
