Father Kartje is a trained astrophysicist, and his personal knowledge of both faith and science will be an asset as he leads Mundelein Seminary’s participation in an initiative of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which supports seminaries as they advance understanding of science and technology across the religious community. Mundelein will incorporate science into at least two core courses and hold one campus-wide science-centric event sometime before 2020.
