On Friday, April 30, the seminary community gathered together for the final community Mass of the 2020-2021 academic year with rector/president Father John Kartje as the main celebrant and homilist. At the conclusion of Mass, Father John Kartje offered a final blessing for the Class of 2021 before they move forward from their time at Mundelein Seminary.
Following the Mass, the faculty and seminarians came together for dinner, and the Class of 2021 deacons provided good wishes and toasts to several of the departing faculty members (see photo gallery below from this evening of celebration). We are inspired and grateful for all who have dedicated years of their wisdom and gifts toward shaping and forming so many future parish priests.
Join us in praying for all of the upcoming ordinations for the Class of 2021, and let us also pray for all of our departing faculty members.
