The University of Saint Mary of the Lake is well known as the home of Mundelein Seminary. For over a hundred years, dioceses from across the country and around the globe have sent their men to the beautiful campus in Lake County just North of downtown Chicago. Here, thousands of men have been prepared for the priesthood, and dozens more have gone on to become bishops and cardinals. The faculty is nationally and internationally known for their academic excellence in theological studies and for their holistic and innovative approaches to formation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is not as well known is that the University of Saint Mary of the Lake is also home to the new School of Parish Leadership and Evangelization. This dynamic new school was formed by combining the programs in liturgy, lay ministry formation, graduate studies, the permanent diaconate, and Spanish language programs, all of which have been in existence at USML for decades. By pooling the resources of these outstanding programs, the new school builds on decades of success and expands our capacity to be of service to the Catholic Church in Chicago and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Best of all, the programs in the School of Parish Leadership and Evangelization are not limited to our beautiful Mundelein campus. We partner with parishes and centers throughout the area to offer our programs to nearly every vicariate and beyond. When we are not able to offer programs in your neighborhood, most of our programs are also available online and in hybrid delivery options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
