2026 Cardinal Meyer Lecture
Dr. Ospino is Professor of Theology and Religious Education at Boston College, Clough School of Theology and Ministry, where he is also the Chair of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. He is originally from Colombia, South America, and has conducted several national studies on Hispanic Catholicism.

We were honored to host Dr. Hosffman Ospino, PhD, for this year’s Cardinal Meyer Lecture on April 7 and 8. Dr. Ospino is Professor of Theology and Religious Education at Boston College, Clough School of Theology and Ministry, where he is also the Chair of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. He is originally from Colombia, South America, and has conducted several national studies on Hispanic Catholicism.
On Tuesday, April 7, he discussed Ecclesial and Theological Wisdom from Latin America to the World, and on Wednesday, April 8, he discussed Hispanic Catholics and the Emergence of a Renewed Vision for U.S. Catholic Pastoral Life: Assessing Theologically the Legacy of the Fifth National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry.
