Online Novena of the Divine Mercy Chaplet 2020

More than 800 people joined Mundelein Seminary’s alumni priests from around the country in praying an online Novena of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, beginning on Good Friday and continuing for nine days through Divine Mercy Sunday. This novena gave us the opportunity to ask for God’s mercy, be merciful to others and completely trust in the graces of God’s mercy for us.

As we journeyed through the Triduum and entered the Easter season, we united with the Catholic Church around the world in praying for the daily intentions that the Lord revealed to Saint Faustina in a series of revelations that she recorded in a 600-page diary.

Our Lord told St. Faustina, “I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw … strength and refreshment and whatever grace they need in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death.” (Diary, 1209)
