On Saturday, February 4, IDS lost a beloved friend and colleague, Deacon Jim Cozzo, Jr.
Deacon Jim’s legacy is deep and will go on long in the hearts of many–his wife Mirna and family, all of his colleagues at USML, the parishioners at St. Eugene where he was assigned, the deacons of the Archdiocese and their families, and countless friends. Deacon Jim was many things–a model of faith, a brave soldier, a true friend–and remained devoted to his calling to the last. He witnessed selfless love, remained anchored in prayer, and encouraged others always. He lived a powerful life and fostered rich community.
Deacon Jim was ordained in 2002 and soon after began working with deacon formation. He will be sorely missed at IDS and the University of St. Mary of the Lake.
