Congratulations to our Institute and Seminary Graduates!

Posted on May 6, 2017

Cardinal Blase Cupich, Chancellor of University of Saint Mary of the Lake, along with Father John Kartje, Rector/President, congratulate the men and women who received Certificates, Masters, Graduate and Doctoral degrees today. Cardinal Cupich also blessed the new Mundelein Hall and Welcome Center.

The University of Saint Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary was founded in 1844 to prepare clergy for the Diocese of Chicago and to form an educated Catholic laity for the young local church. Faithful to that original vision, Mundelein Seminary forms parish priests for the Archdiocese of Chicago and more than 30 other dioceses throughout the world, while The Institute for Lay Formation, Instituto de Liderazgo Pastoral, Institute for Diaconal Studies, Liturgical Institute, Institute for Ongoing Formation, and Pontifical Faculty of Theology form those who collaborate with them in ministry through separate and distinct programs of human, intellectual, spiritual and pastoral formation.

May God bless all those who graduated today as they minister within the Church and beyond.
