It was a glorious day for the Church, for candidates, and their families when 24 candidates were instituted into the ministry of Acolyte, with Most Rev. Joseph N. Perry as the celebrant; on November 4 at the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein. In his homily, Bishop Perry thanked the candidates for their self-offering and encouraged them to continue their discernment of a diaconal vocation in love of God and neighbor.
