Ordination Class of 2018 Returns for Mass of Thanksgiving

Posted on November 6, 2018

More than 30 members of Mundelein Seminary’s 2018 ordination class returned to campus for a Mass of Thanksgiving and an evening of fellowship with their classmates and the current seminarians. Representing dioceses around the country, the 2018 alumni enjoyed reconnecting with old friends and faculty members while sharing stories from their first six months as parish priests.

“Now that I’m a few months into it, I’m starting to see the nitty-gritty of what my daily life will be like as a priest,” said Fr. Kyle Sladek from the Diocese of Green Bay. “It’s been beautiful to walk with people in the sacrament of Confession, or being with the people at Mass. Those grace-filled moments are when God makes it clear that this is why I am a priest.”

Father Miguel Corral, from the Diocese of Las Vegas, NV, delivered a homily that challenged his fellow priests to model themselves after Christ’s humble servanthood, willingly sacrificing in order to love others.
